Popular Samantha Hu? star Jennie Chung, 36, was arrested on Sunday for driving under the influence in Santa Monica, California.  The TV star allegedly lashed out at police when she was stopped by police, punching one in the face and stomping on another's foot.   One source claims that "Chung was not only drunk but high on some illicit drugs.  She'd been at the home of a notorious star in Malibu only hours before the arrest."  Chung's publicist issued a statement on behalf of the star:  "Miss Chung is extremely embarrassed by this whole incident.  Please respect her privacy as she deals with the ramifications of her actions."  No such luck for Chung, however, as several publications have already purchased paparazzi shots of the actress at the scene of the crime for upcoming issues.

Aussie star Raeleen Smithwick's popular character Jinx McFadden will return in Rising Damp, due for international release in 2008.  Filming is already underway in Zimbabwe, while a second unit films in the Bahamas.  The fifty-two year old mother of ten sat down with intrepid Appalling Trash reporter Hank Filbin to get the latest:  "It's been a tough shoot," sighed Smithwick, sipping on lemon juice to soothe a hoarse throat.  "I haven't worked this hard since my hubby and I became pregnant with our son Jeremy!"  And in response to recent reports that her marriage to U.N. mine sweeper Howard Yalaikascroo is on the rocks, Smithwick adds:  "You know, the press loves to make out that my marriage is going down the toilet, but hey, everything's fine with me and Howard.  In fact, I'll give you the scoop of the week:  I'm pregnant with his eleventh child!"
